Are you staring into the precipice, or standing on the cusp of greatness?
Either way, that's where I come in.
I have 35+ years in communications and leadership. I co-founded a consumer public relations agency, then spent two decades in-house, building comms functions from scratch, including at several fast-scaling, founder-led businesses. Having led on both the agency and client side, these perspectives shape how I think about what's actually useful when I’m coaching.
That said, I'm not a typical coach. I lean more towards mentor/director in style, drawing on direct experience rather than only asking the questions. I've given a great deal to my career, and it's given me a great deal back, though not always in equal measure or at the times I'd have chosen.
I've raised 3 sons, have stepchildren, been through divorce, faced loss. Professionally I’ve been made redundant, and left a business I co-founded sooner than I'd have chosen. Life has a way of testing your judgement and responses as much as any day-to-day career-related issues do. I bring what that has taught me into coaching.
These days I split my time between advising organisations through the hard stuff, and coaching individuals through their own.
